1. Who we are
CompMate Technologies provides PayMate–SlipX, a payroll management platform, and SlipX Payslip Delivery, its email and WhatsApp delivery integration. This policy covers information processed through these services and this policy website.
For employee payroll records, the employer or authorised payroll administrator decides what information to enter, how payroll is configured and which employees receive payslips. CompMate Technologies processes those records to provide the service on their instructions. We also process account, support and technical information to operate the platform.
2. Information we process
The information available depends on the fields and features your employer uses.
- Account and company information: business name, administrator or user details, contact information, account identifiers, permissions and settings.
- Employee and payroll information: employee name and ID, site, employment details, attendance or leave, earnings, deductions, loans, benefits and payroll totals. Bank, tax, statutory, identity or other employee details may be included when entered or uploaded by the employer.
- Delivery information: the selected email address or WhatsApp number, delivery permission records, payslip PDFs, employee and company names, payroll month, message identifiers, timestamps, errors and delivery status. WhatsApp read status may be received when available.
- Technical and support information: service activity, error or security logs, request information such as IP address and browser details handled by hosting services, and information you provide when contacting support.
Most employee information comes from the employer or its authorised users. Delivery status information comes from the email or WhatsApp provider.
3. How information is used
- Provide account access and company-specific payroll functions.
- Maintain employee records, calculate payroll using saved settings and generate reports and payslips.
- Send selected payslips through enabled delivery channels and record the outcome.
- Investigate failed deliveries, prevent duplicate or unauthorised activity and troubleshoot the service.
- Respond to support and privacy requests and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations.
Employers are responsible for providing accurate records, giving employees the relevant information about processing and arranging any permission required for the selected delivery channel.
4. Email and WhatsApp payslip delivery
When an authorised user requests delivery, the service uses the selected employee contact details and payroll record to prepare and send a payslip.
- Email: the recipient address, message content and PDF attachment are passed to the email delivery provider.
- WhatsApp, when enabled: the recipient number, employee name, payroll month, company name and payslip PDF are passed to Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. The PDF is uploaded to Meta for use in the message.
- Delivery history: message identifiers and status events are recorded so authorised users can review sent, delivered, failed and, where available, read outcomes.
Service providers and the recipient’s email or messaging service may retain their own copies under their policies. Once a payslip has been delivered, deleting a record in SlipX does not remove copies already received, downloaded or forwarded.
To stop future delivery through a channel, contact your employer or admin@compmate.in. Replies such as “STOP” are not automatically processed by this integration; the delivery permission must be updated by an authorised person.
6. Storage and security
The service uses authenticated access, company permissions and restricted backend access for payroll processing. Delivery PDFs are stored in private application storage and passed to delivery providers when sending is requested. Webhook signatures are checked before provider status updates are accepted.
No online service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Administrators should protect their accounts, grant appropriate permissions and check employee contact details before sending. Recipients should keep their payslip files and messaging accounts secure.
7. How long information is kept
Payroll records, delivery PDFs and delivery history are retained for service operation, the employer’s recordkeeping needs, support and applicable legal obligations. They are not automatically deleted immediately after delivery, and this policy does not promise a fixed automatic deletion period.
Deletion requests are assessed with the relevant employer and the requirements that apply to the records. Some information may need to be retained for payroll, tax, security, dispute or legal purposes. Backup copies, where held, and copies retained by delivery providers may follow separate retention processes.
8. Your choices and data requests
You can request access, correction or deletion of information, ask a privacy question or request that future email or WhatsApp delivery stop. Contact your employer first for employee payroll records, or contact us at admin@compmate.in.
We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your employer before disclosing or changing information. The outcome depends on the request, the employer’s authority over the records and applicable retention obligations. Stopping messages and deleting payroll records are separate requests.
10. Policy updates and contact
This policy may be updated as the service or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version published here.
